Holidaymakers and businessmen and women are among thousands left stranded in Portugal after a fuel pump breakdown grounded flights at Lisbon Airport. Passengers were reportedly forced to sleep on the terminal floor 2 nights ago.
Ryanair was one of the biggest airlines hit, along with Portugal national carrier TAP. Although the pump was repaired early yesterday morning, the airport is warned delays would continue throughout yesterday.
Airport operator ANA said 64 flights have been cancelled, 11 have been diverted and 322 have been delayed.
