Founded in 1993, Norwegian is the third largest low-cost carrier in Europe with about 5,500 employees. They operate over 400 routes to more than 130 destinations in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Thailand, the Caribbean and the US.

Norwegian were founded in 1993, but only began operating as a low-cost carrier with bigger Boeing 787 aircraft in 2002. Today, they are one of the world’s fastest growing airlines. Back in 2012, they signed the largest aircraft order in Europe with more than 200 aircraft. This means that Norwegian are constantly introducing brand new aircraft to their fleet, as well as launching new routes and establishing new bases in Europe, Asia and the US.

Established in 1993, Norwegian is the world’s sixth largest low-cost airline carrying over 30 million passengers anually. The airline employs over 7,000 people and operates over 500 routes to over 130 destinations in Europe, North Africa, Middle East, Thailand, Caribbean and the U.S. Norwegian has a fleet of more than 130 aircraft, with an average age of just 3.6 years, making it one of the world’s youngest fleets.

Norwegian was named the Most Fuel-Efficient Airline on Transatlantic Routes by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) and was also named the World’s Best Low-Cost Long-Haul Airline by the renowned SkyTrax World Airline Awards in 2015 and 2016, and for the fourth consecutive year, named Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline. In 2017, Norwegian won the Skytrax World’s Best Low-Cost, Long Haul Airline and Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline, as well as the Irish Aviation Industry’s Outstanding Contribution to Aviation award and the Freddie Awards Airline Program of the Year, Europe and Africa.
