Aegean is Greece’s largest airline providing since 1999, full service, premium quality, short and medium haul flights. In 2010 Aegean joined the Star Alliance, the strongest airline alliance worldwide.

As a result of the acquisition of Olympic Air on October 23, 2013; Aegean passengers now have increased frequencies and connections to many more Greek and international destinations.

In 2016 the company will offer 16,2 million seats,1,1 million more seats than during 2015. Following AEGEAN´s recent investment in 7 new additional Airbus A320ceos, company’s fleet is made up of 61 aircraft. Aegean has a total of 9 aircraft bases, connecting Greece and Cyprus with 111 international destinations in 45 countries as well as flying to 34 domestic airports.

Total traffic of both companies reached 11.65 million passengers in 2015. Aegean has been honored with the Skytrax World Airline Award, as the best European regional airline for 2015. It is the sixth time that the company has received this distinction, the previous being in 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and in 2009.

Minimum Requirements:

  •  CPL (A) with ATPL (A) Theory (Frozen ATPL) or ATPL (A) and Multi Engine Instrument Rating in force
  •     Health Certificate of “Class 1” in force
  •     MCC Course
  •     Bachelor’s Degree in Radio Telephony
  •     Very good knowledge of Greek and English (minimum level 4)
  •     Completed military obligations
  •     DHC8 or ATR type rating will be considered as an additional asset
  •     AU / TEI degree will be considered as an additional qualification
  •     The right to live and work in the EU
  •     Licences must be EASA with a Full Class one Medical

The selection process includes:

  •     Written assessment exams
  •     Flight Simulator rating
  •     Interview
