We currently have a vacancy for a Typhoon Instructor Pilot responsible to the Head of Air Service – Oman Ltd, the role will be based at our site in Oman
As a Typhoon Instructor Pilot you will be responsible for the on-shore delivery of air and ground based pilot training to RAFO personnel. Utilising the Typhoon aircraft and Oman Mission Training Simulators and teaching devices.
Within this role you will plan, manage, lead and control all aspects of Ground and Simulator Instruction to meet business and customer needs to programme and to cost. Also conduct airborne flying instruction.
Your main responsibilities as a Typhoon Instructor Pilot will involve:
Delivering ground based aircraft system training, through ground school lectures and briefings
Conducting Typhoon simulator training for ab-initio and qualified pilots, through pre-flight briefings, post flight debriefings and the associated reports
Supporting the Head of Air Service – Oman Ltd in the delivery of flying operations and the RAFO requirements
Delivering briefings / debriefs to the pilot / trainees to include written documentation of training events in any mission
Produce mission scenarios including definition of ground and airborne entities and associated doctrines, Instructors may be used as SME on other associated duties.
Provide assistance to the RAFO training organisation in developing / refining syllabi, regulations and associated training material for flying training
Demonstration of the safety procedures associated with operation of the aircraft
Your skills and qualifications as a Typhoon Instructor Pilot:
Qualified aircrew instructor in airborne, academic and the operation of the training devices
Experience using RAFO assets to conduct airborne instruction in the Typhoon
Typhoon Instructional experience (Live or Synthetic)
You will be able to effectively interact with the customer on a daily basis and take into account customer opinions while maintaining the training programme. The ability to maintain knowledge of current aircraft operations, the aircraft and weapons configuration as capability is introduced or enhanced
