Cape Air are recruiting non-rated First Officers for their various bases across the US and Caribbean.

Cape Air is a regional airline based in Massachusetts with operations all over the country and in the Caribbean. Our airline code is 9K and ATC shows us on radar as KAP.

Basing for our First Officers is as follows:

  • 135 Operation: all US and Caribbean locations

135 Operation (Cessna 402)

  • FAA commercial multi-engine licenses with instrument rating
  • First class medical
  • 500 hours total time
  • 100 hours cross-country time (point to point)
  • 25 hours night time
  • 25 hours instrument time (actual, simulated or FTD)
  • 15 hours multi-engine time (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree from an AABI accredited school
  • One year of full-time instruction

Most of the communities that we serve are Pilot Bases. Many of our pilots choose to live in their base, as that is where their assigned flying begins and ends every day. Our pilots bid for their base twice a year through a Seniority Bid System, which allow for some of the seasonal transitions many of our pilots do every spring and fall.

New England: Hyannis MA, New Bedford MA, Boston MA, Provincetown MA, Martha’s Vineyard MA, Rutland VT, Lebanon NH, Rockland ME, Augusta ME, Bar Harbor ME

New York: Ogdensburg, Saranac Lake

Montana: Billings

Midwest: Marion IL, Kirksville MO, Fort Leonard Wood MO, St. Louis MO, Owensboro KY

Caribbean: San Juan PR, Mayagüez PR, Vieques PR, St. Croix (U.S.V.I.), St. Thomas (U.S.V.I.), Tortola (B.V.I.)
