Norwegian says Ryanair is years off Trans-Atlantic flights 

Norwegian CEO Bjorn Kjos believes Ryanair would not be able to compete on trans-Atlantic routes between Ireland and the US east coast for several years, saying: “If they decided today, they wouldn’t be able to start until at least 2020. Mr Kjos believes US airports are running out of slots and need to construct more runways before any other carrier could operate on those routes. 

Ryanair’s passenger numbers up 12 per cent in June 

Ryanair has reported a 12 per cent increase in passenger numbers for the month of June, while its load factor also rose during the month. Ryanair said its passenger numbers rose by 12 per cent to 11.8 million from 10.6 million the same time last year. The airline’s load factor – or how many seats it fills on each flight – increased to 96 per cent from 94 per cent the same month last year
