Ryanair offers first ever connecting flights in Rome
Ryanair has launched its first connecting flights through Rome Fiumicino Airport, offering the opportunity to book and transfer directly onto connecting Ryanair flights for the first time.
Connections are available to Alicante, Barcelona, Bari, Brussels, Catania, Comiso, Malta and Palermo, with more to follow.
This is a big step for the airline who have increasingly along with other low-cost airlines been eroding the market share of the legacy carriers. One of the biggest differences between low-cost airlines and flag carriers was you couldn’t connect through hubs like you can with the flag carrier airlines, or you could but the low-cost airline would not take responsibility if you missed your connection.
