Role and Responsibilities

Are you an experienced aircraft engineer/pilot with an interest in pilot training?

Are you a people person who enjoys a professional team environment?

If so, CAE in Burgess Hill (UK) are hiring Permanent Full Time Instructors on their Business Jet programs. You would be responsible to the Training Manager for the delivery of technical knowledge instruction and aircraft systems procedures to trainees on business jet programs. (likely Bombardier programs but to be decided upon hire by the Company).

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering instruction during ground training phase of initial and recurrent courses using VSIM.

• Delivering instruction on IPT during initial ground school.

• Responsible for ensuring client comprehension of aircraft systems knowledge by delivering aircraft systems review lectures.

• When required, responsible for assisting with courseware development for training programs.

• When required, responsible for keeping training material up to date, accurate and responsive to client needs.

• When required, responsible for “crewing up” in the simulator when there is odd numbers of clients on the course.

• Any other duties as may be required.

Experience/Qualifications

• Excellent classroom, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Prior knowledge of aircraft systems either as a professional engineer or pilot required

• Previous experience as an instructor desirable

• Possesses above average verbal and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrates proficient computer skills, in particular knowledge of Power Point presentations program as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Internet Explorer.

• Ability to focus and work in a fast paced 24/7 environment

• Readily accepts change, if flexible and adjusts accordingly

• Maintains concentrated customer/client orientation

• Must elect to live less than 2 hours driving time from the facility if successful

Other

• Based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, UK.

• This role requires working on weekends and public holiday, as well as potentially working a mixture of days/nights – schedules are typically released a week prior, and as such flexibility is required.

• All instructors are anticipated to become dual instructor rated on 2 business jet types over time.
