1.0 Digital Products Terms & Conditions
FlightDeckFriend.com as a company has no affiliation with any airline or their recruitment process.
For the purposes of this document, the names ‘FlightDeckFriend.com’ or ‘FDF’ refer to the trading names of Flight Deck Friend Limited.
1.1 Policy Coverage
This policy applies to all digital products sold on FlightDeckFriend.com excluding the Tailored CV & Covering Letter service. Note the CV template & Cover Letter example documents are covered by this policy. For the Terms & Conditions for the tailored CV & Covering letter service, please see section 2 below. 1.2 Purchase Terms of Agreement
The purchase of digital products, including PDF downloads and online material is subject to the following terms and conditions. Consumers are advised to review these terms and conditions carefully before making any purchase. Whilst FDF strives to ensure that its digital products are up to date and accurate, FDF bares no responsibility whatsoever for the consequences of any inaccuracies within its digital documents. The products are meant to be used as supporting information and should not be used as a sole reference for any airline application or assessment preparation.
FlightDeckFriend.com reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, content of products, terms of purchase or service offerings without prior notice. Consumers are not entitled to access to an updated version of a document on the basis of a previous purchase. Consumers are not entitled to a refund of the price difference should the price of a product reduce after a purchase has been made.
1.3 Payment & Refund Policy
All transactions for purchase of intangible products, PDF downloads, resource material, and online content are made and processed through payment gateways (either PayPal or Stripe) that use SSL encryption. These payment gateways are safe and secure for using all types of credit cards and debit cards in different countries and your details are not stored during this process. Since your purchase is a digital product, it is deemed “used” after download or opening, and all purchases made on www.FlightDeckFriend.com are non-refundable or exchangeable. Since the products made available on this website are intangible, there is a policy that no refunds shall be granted unless a clear and major error in the documentation (as agreed by FlightDeckFriend.com) is present. If a clear and major error has inadvertently occurred through updates of the documentation, the refund must be applied for within 14 days of purchase (where the day of purchase counts as day one). In the extremely unlikely event that a customer is unhappy with the digital documentation and are unable to resolve any dispute with FDF, they have the ability to raise a dispute via PayPal or their Credit Card company in order to request a refund.
1.4 Personal Data
When making a transaction, FlightDeckFriend.com only has visibility of the customers email address, product purchased and date and time of the transaction by way to verify and identify the purchase. FlightDeckFriend.com has no access to any of financial information used to purchase products on this website as the payment is processed by the PayPal or Stripe payment platforms. The choice of whether to use the PayPal or Stripe platform is at the user’s discretion.
When a consumer purchases a digital product from FlightDeckFriend.com, it must be exclusively for their sole use. The product must not be shared with any other party or individual without explicit permission from FDF. Any unauthorised distribution of any product constitutes a serious breach of these terms and conditions and may result in legal action being pursued.
2.0 FlightDeckFriend.com Tailored CV & Cover Letter Terms and Conditions
The term ‘document’ or ‘documents’ are used to describe either a Tailored CV and/or a Tailored Covering Letter.
Prior to commencing the tailoring process and distributing the questionnaire to the consumer, a non-refundable £20.00 deposit must be paid via PayPal or Stripe. This protects FlightDeckFriend.com from consumers not continuing with the order after the questionnaire has been sent (i.e. circumstances where a consumer has obtained the detailed questionnaire for free and taken this material to build their own CV). It is deemed that £20.00 is a fair price should the consumer wish to receive the questionnaire and then build the CV themselves.
A payment for the price of the service, minus the deposit, will be requested when the documents have been completed and are ready to be sent to the customer. Payment is processed through payment gateways (either PayPal or Stripe) that use SSL encryption. These payment gateways are safe and secure for using all types of credit cards and debit cards in different countries and customer details are not stored during this process. FlightDeckFriend.com has no access to any financial information used to purchase products on its website.
2.3 Satisfaction Guarantee
FlightDeckFriend.com commits to ensuring the consumer is 100% satisfied with the documentation. FDF pledges to make unlimited changes to the documentation as required until the consumer is completely satisfied with the documentation. If, following a 7 day period after the final documentation has been sent to the consumer, FDF has received no requests for any changes to the documentation, it is assumed that the consumer is completely satisfied with the documentation and the satisfaction guarantee expires.
2.4 Changes Policy
FlightDeckFriend.com is committed to making minor changes to the documentation for a period up to 3 calendar months after the final delivery date of the documentation. Minor changes remain at the discretion of FDF but would typically include, changes to flight hours, change of jobs, addition of credentials such as a type rating or FI rating. If, in the opinion of FDF, the changes requested would require significant changes to the document layout, a CV refresh fee would be applicable. After 3 calendar months after the final delivery, any changes to the documentation may be subject to a CV refresh fee at the discretion of FlightDeckFriend.com.
2.5 Refund Policy
FlightDeckFriend.com offers a 100% money back satisfaction guarantee on its tailored CV & Covering Letter service. On receipt of the final document, the consumer must contact FDF within 7 days to state that they are not completely satisfied with the document(s). FlightDeckFriend.com will then endeavour to make the changes required to ensure complete satisfaction within the next 7 days. This assumes the consumer provides the feedback needed to make appropriate changes in a timely manner. Failure of the consumer to engage sufficiently with the FDF team in order to achieve complete satisfaction will result in the refund being refused. If after the 7 days has elapsed, the consumer remains unhappy with the documentation and FlightDeckFriend.com feels they are unlikely to be able to resolve the satisfaction issue, a refund will be issued, minus the £20 deposit.
If it is deemed that the consumer is being wholly unreasonable with their demands to the point that satisfaction can never be reasonably achieved, and it is deemed they are simply seeking to abuse the money back guarantee, FlightDeckFriend.com reserves the right to refuse a refund in such circumstances. In the extremely unlikely event that a customer is unhappy with the final documentation and are unable to resolve any dispute with FDF, they have the ability to raise a dispute via PayPal or their Credit Card company in order to request a refund.
2.6 GDPR Data Policy
European GDPR policy requires that businesses do not hold any personal information longer than necessary. As a result, FlightDeckFriend.com will delete the consumers tailored documents 14 days after the delivery date. Consumers should therefore ensure they have backups of their documents as FDF will be unable to replace the documents after this time period. The consumers documents are held on a password protected device during the tailoring process up until deletion as set out above. No consumer data whatsoever is shared with any third party and personal data is only seen by a small number of the FlightDeckFriend.com team during the tailoring process.
FlightDeckFriend.com guarantees the written content of any tailored CV or Covering Letter is unique and written specifically for the individual customer. For the standard ‘CV’ or ‘CV & Cover Letter Combo’ package, FDF uses a range of purposely designed CV templates which have been created by the FDF team to ensure a highly presentable, clear and concise document. Each template is then adapted to the requirements of each individual. Given a range of pre-designed CV templates may be used as part of the service, on occasions, the overall of layout of the CV may appear similar to other designs but the content is unique.
Customers who purchase our unique CV package can be guaranteed that the design of the document is unique to the individual.
FDF does not use any templates for the ‘Tailored Covering Letter’ service.
Consumers are strongly encouraged to verify the data within the documents prior to using them as part of an application to any airline. FlightDeckFriend.com bares no responsibility whatsoever for the consequences of any inaccuracies within the documents.
FlightDeckFriend.com bares no responsibility whatsoever if the customers job application is rejected by any company or organisation for any reason related to the documentation provided by FDF.
