JOB DESCRIPTION:
FlyaSpitfire.com has vacancies for freelance commercial pilots for sightseeing and Formation Passenger flight experiences. Operating single pilot AOC ops, flying the Gipps GA8T Airvan and PA32R Saratoga, on A to A, formation, day VFR flights, from Biggin Hill and other airfields in the UK.
The position is initially for the 2024 flying season, which is predominantly between March and October. Progression towards a full-time position and earlier start date may be possible for a suitable candidate. The business operates 7 days a week and requires flexible hours with weekend availability essential. The selected candidate will be hired on a self-employed basis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
UK ISSUED part FCL Essential, CPL (No IR Required) with a valid SEP class rating and Class one medical (with single pilot ops).
Full training will be provided to successful applicants, VP, retractable, turbocharger and formation. Tailwheel/formation experience preferred but not essential. Aircraft are operated on an UK AOC Pilots must be able to comply with company FDP/FTL scheme.
DESIRED QUALITIES:
The successful candidate will need to be self-disciplined and enthusiastic about general aviation.
The position is customer facing and sales led.
Applicants will need to be personable, motivated; sales experience be an advantage.
In addition to the flying requirements, Pilots will be required to complete all administration IAW company SOP’s and regulations as well as assisting with the Daily operational requirements. Candidates will be bonded for the 2024 season.
