Crewing Officer (Perm & FTC) (11287)

TEAM

Working within the Network Control Team and the wider Integrated Control Centre, the Crewing team is working on a 24/7 basis, ensuring compliance to both crew FTL regulation and industrial agreements.

We liaise with crew across the network, base teams, FRMS, rostering and training planning and delivery teams and other ICC teams to ensure the schedule On Time Performance and safety is maintained

Network Operations is comprised of highly a dedicated & experienced team with the purpose of ensuring safety, compliance and providing the customer with the highest possible quality of service is an integral part of the overall Operations team.
We work closely with Flight Ops, Ground Ops, Cabin Services, Performance and Planning, Safety and Security, and Maintenance Operations.

JOB PURPOSE

As a Crewing Officer, you will report into the Senior Crewing Officer whilst on shift.  The Crewing department are responsible for managing all aspects crew rosters from the day of operation to 3 days out using the AIMS crew system and a range of decision support tools. Your role is to ensure all crew rosters are first and foremost safe, legal and compliant with local industrial agreements.  You will also consider operational robustness; efficiency, cost effectiveness; Fatigue and Crew lifestyle considerations when making changes to rosters.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Crewing Safety

  • Maintain safe and compliant rosters at all times, in line with legal requirements, Crew contracts, and company policies
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest rule sets, protocols and systems updates
  • Takes responsibility for a strong safety culture reporting incidents
  • Ensure compliance with company policy/procedures in accordance with the easyJet Operations Manuals and company system
  • Maintaining standby cover across the network

Crewing Communication

  • Keep the ICC teams informed of crew disruption that could impact the programme
  • Liaising with the rostering and training delivery teams to ensure roster disruption is captured and training re-planned
  • Communicating between the ICC Hubs to ensure all relevant operational information is shared
  • Escalating disruptive or safety events to the Senior Crewing Officer, Network Duty Manager and wider business
  • Maintaining 2 way communication with our bases and handling teams, as directed in Crewing processes

Operational excellence

  • Re-crewing uncovered flight duties from four days prior to the day of operation in line with regulatory requirements, union agreements and easyJet business rules
  • Applying judgement and experience when making necessary roster changes, including Operational robustness, cost, and Crew lifestyle considerations (such as FRM, Roster Stability, Crew Preferences, fair work distribution and minimal positioning)
  • Managing roster change requests with sensitivity and discretion while representing Operational needs, ensuring the impact of each change is understood and accepted by the relevant accountable parties
  • Challenging disruptive and avoidable changes, where appropriate, in a positive and constructive manner
  • Providing cross-functional support for other Operational and Planning teams during times of need
  • Manage and maintain adequate levels of standby coverage, considering logistical costs of positioning and Hotac against operational integrity

Disruption Officer (FTC) (11286)

JOB PURPOSE

  • To ensure customers are supported throughout disruption, and welfare is provided according to business policies and regulations
  • To keep customers informed throughout their disruption
  • To report on disruption events for efficient customer claim handling
  • To escalate any disruption events and customer issues to the wider business
  • The team also ensures that all crew hotel and transport requirements (for days 1-3) are met, and any ad-hoc requests on the day.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Disruption Handling:

  • Find solutions for customers who have been affected by disruption in line with regulations and business policies
  • Answer any customer related queries from ground handling and take quick decisions on customer entitlements on the day of travel
  • Look to reduce costs during disruption where possible, e.g. in form of reciprocal agreements, re-routing customers and alternative transport bookings
  • Process disruption in various operational systems
  • Liaise with 3rd parties, such as Hotel and Transport providers to ensure customers are provided appropriate hotel accommodation and transport during disruption
  • All ad-hoc transport and accommodation requests for the crew have been met and last-minute changes are actioned to prevent disruption to crew

Disruption Communications:

  • Keep customers informed at all times throughout disruption via various outbound communication channels including

  • In the event of planned disruption notify all customers in advance, send reminder emails to take action, and make customers aware of specific events, e.g. industrial action that might affect the customer’s journey

  • Ensure that the travel status pages and web banners on easyJet.com are updated regularly in the event of known disruption.
  • Keep ground and cabin crew updated with communications provided to customers

  • Notify airports of disruption
  • Inform the wider business of disruption events and customer welfare issues, including possible PR issues
  • During disruption incidents, record and collect real time information to support accurate post incident investigations and customer claim handling

Operations Officer (Perm & FTC) (11285)

JOB PURPOSE

  • Carry out the function of Flight Watch and proactively swapping aircraft to reduce disruption and delays, and maintain On Time Performance.
  • Working closely with the Crewing, Customer and Maintenance teams to deliver a safe and efficient operation of the flying program, and ensuring all changes are communicated effectively and timely to all stakeholders.
  • Apply and manage all adhoc runway slots, and adjusting any required caused by disruption, maintaining we stay within each airports runway slot rules, thus reducing potential fines.
  • Using third party tools and contracts to proactively monitor the weather across the easyJet network, and create and agree mitigating plans were appropriate.
  • ACARS System monitoring, maintaining timely communications with the flight crew, taking action on any high priority requests, disseminating information to the correct stakeholders.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Working closely with colleagues within Network Control and the wider Integrated Control Centre to ensure that easyJet delivers the highest possible service levels for its passengers
  • Ensure that all measures are taken to minimise disruption, at all times, taking into account passenger welfare, cost optimisation and limitation of knock-on network effects

  • To ensure that vital lines of communication are maintained with all Network Control’s  internal and external agencies and service providers
  • To monitor and promulgate information received by ACARS, E-Mail, SITA, MET Office Weather System and telephone.(others as required)
  • To oversee, optimise and manage easyJet’s Runway Slot protocols and compliance with slot and curfew requirements, thus minimising exposure to fines and legal proceedings
  • Ensure any / all information pertaining to an operational event is collated and appropriately recorded
  • Fulfil the duties required of the Operations Officer during emergency situations (exercise or actual)
  • Working in a professional manner and that all tasks are completed to the highest of standards
  • Any other duties as directed by the Senior Operations Officer, or member of the Management Team

Operations Performance & Analysis Manager (11308)

TEAM

The Operations Performance & Analysis team sits within the Operational Planning team as part of the Operations Planning & Delivery department.  The two key purposes of the team are to provide analytical support and direction to the wider Operations Planning & Delivery department, and to provide a consolidated and holistic view of operational performance to support improvements within the wider operation, working with all of the operational teams.  The team is headed by the Operations Performance & Analysis Manager, supported by the Senior Operations Performance Analyst and two Operations Performance Analysts.

The wider Operational Planning teams work together to develop the schedule and flying programme in a way that is safe, cost-efficient, and resilient, and ensure that all operational teams’ needs are met in terms of schedule feasibility, in both the long-term and short-term windows, and reviewed in the post-operational window feeding back as learnings into future operations.

JOB PURPOSE

  • The Operations Performance & Analysis Manager reports to the Head of Operational Planning and works closely with the other analytical and performance teams across the wider operation.
  • The role purpose is to lead the use of data analytics to identify, agree and deliver ongoing improvements to our operation, especially focused on reducing major disruption events, as well as providing analytical support to the wider Operations Planning & Delivery team.

Operations Schedule Analyst (11335)

TEAM

The Long Term Planning team sits within the Operational Planning team as part of the Operations Planning & Delivery department.

This role reports to the Long Term Planning Manager and supports the design of the commercial flight schedule by assuring it is safe, operationally feasible and cost efficient.

The role will work closely with Scheduling and Operational team on any areas of the schedule that needs more detailed review to ensure a successful operation. They will be involved in and become an SME & systems Super User for Crew Pairings Optimisation and Optym SkySym OTP simulation together with schedule related operational performance for the Crew Supply Chain and the wider Operations and Commercial teams.

JOB PURPOSE

Using OTP simulation and Pairings Optimisation tools the Analyst will report findings, draw conclusions and make recommendations whilst working closely with Scheduling and Operational teams on any areas of the schedule that need more detailed review. They will be involved in and become an SME for the predicted operational performance of future schedules, crew pairings and schedule related operational performance for the Crew Supply Chain and the wider Operations and Commercial teams.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Validate previous seasons against current, using the latest Ops Parameters and compare against historical safety, cost and operational performance indicators.
  • Rigorous analysis of historic schedule operational performance, identification of success and failure drivers and make recommendations to feed into the design/operation of future or current schedules using tools such as OTP simulation, Pairings Reliability and Pairings Optimisation
