Line Pilot – Fixed Wing

Salary: £64,474 to include additional allowances

The Line Pilot – Fixed Wing will captain the single pilot aeroplanes of the Air Support Unit (ASU) and provide aeroplane operations advice to the non-pilot crew members in-flight. The role holder will be required to meet the requirements, rules and regulations of the ASU Operations Manual and current relevant aviation legislation. They will also be responsible for maintaining aircraft operational readiness, ensuring fitness for flight at all times. The role holder must have a Commercial EASA Pilot’s Licence CPL (A)/IR or ATPL (A), with an unrestricted Class 1 Medical and a multi-engine single pilot instrument rating plus 2000 hours of pilot flying experience.

£64,474 to include:

  •   Overtime
  •   Saturday and Sunday Premium payments
  •   Shift allowance
  •   On Call allowance
  •   Premium Payment for public holiday working.
  • Additional Allowances not included in the consolidated salary and may be payable:
  • Type Rating Instructor – £2,304
  •   Line Training Captain – £807
  •   Type Rating Examiner – £2,304
  •   Flight Safety Officer – £576
  • Applicants will be required to pass a flight assessment as part of the recruitment process.
  • Appointment will be subject to the successful candidate passing the appropriate BN2T type rating.

Min requirements:

  • Commercial EASA Pilot’s Licence CPL (A)/IR or ATPL (A), with an unrestricted Class 1 Medical and a multi- engine single pilot instrument rating.
    •  2000 hours of pilot flying experience, which must include:
      •   1000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) Single Pilot

        Aircraft, (SPA) Fixed Wing.

      •   500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) in a multi-

        engine single Pilot Aircraft (SPA).

    •   Experience of working with other non-pilot crew members

      in-flight.

  • A BN2T type rating would be an advantage.
