Description:
Under general supervision, the line service technician provides professional aviation line services, to include fueling aircraft, monitoring fuel levels and maintaining fuel inventories, and transferring fuel between storage locations. Includes detail-oriented responsibilities, such as ensuring fuel trucks are stocked and prepared to distribute fuel, checking aircraft fuel and oil levels, performing quality control checks to make sure fueling is handled safely and efficiently and reporting any visible damage to aircraft. Line technicians also perform light maintenance, such as making sure internal and external aircraft lights are turned off when not in use, and washing and detailing aircraft exteriors/interiors. Line technicians are also responsible for guiding, towing, parking, greeting and organizing aircraft arriving or departing from the ramp. This includes towing aircraft to appropriate tie-downs and hangars. Requires experience and training necessary to operate aircraft towing vehicles and transportation carts.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Line technicians help with the upkeep of facilities, hangars and airport grounds and ensure areas are litter-free, clean, safe and organized. Technicians also maintain aircraft hangars so planes can be parked or stored. Line Service Technicians possess a high safety and service standard along with high attention to detail to company protocols. This position functions effectively in a fast paced, high noise level environment that requires multi-tasking, prioritization and prompt service.
