Where are the bases of Corendon Airlines Europe?

In Winter 2023-24 Corendon Airlines Europe flies from the bases Hanover (Germany), Nuremberg (Germany), Düsseldorf (Germany), Cologne (Germany), Hurghada (Egypt) and any other operating base established.

Further on there is a wet-lease-out operation during the winter for the Airline ‘Spicejet’ in India, where our crew is assigned on a rotating schedule to a base in India. The usual duration of this assignment is about 45 days, however can change due to operational needs.

Please keep in mind that the fleet planning/base planning and accordingly the crew’s base assignment can change due to operational reasons.

Where will I be based?

In line with the operational needs, the base planning of our aircraft and the positioning of our current crew, new-joining crew will be assigned to the available bases. We do also take into consideration your base of preference but we can not guarantee that you will be based in your preferred base. As a charter company, we expect our crew to be open for all our bases and flexibility has a high importance.

Our crew stays in their related bases until the end of the winter season (March/April) or until the closing of the base, if sooner. In other words, your regular base can change in accordance with the commercial schedule. Furthermore, as we are a charter airlines company, you can be required to be posted to a different country according to Company work requirements so again, we count on your flexibility.

Besides your regular base, you can also be sent on layover to other bases. The layover assignment can be for several days, several weeks or longer. For instance, during wet-lease out operations crew members are planned for a period of averagely 30 days in order to guarantee smooth flight operations.

 

First Officers B737NG

To apply for this opportunity, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

    • Holder of a valid EASA licence with IFR and valid type rating on the B737-300/900 type aeroplanes.
    •   Valid PBN endorsement on ATPL licence / logbook.
    •   Holder of a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
    •   For First Officers: with a minimum experience of 500 flight on the B737CL and NG type.
    •   With civil aviation experience of minimum 1 year for First Officers and five years for Captains.
    •   With at least a ICAO Level 4 English Language Proficiency.
    •   Holder of a valid EU-passport allowing unlimited travel.
    •   No History of Accidents and Incidents.

What are the steps of the assessment process?

The assessment process consists of an online psychological assessment, an online competency based personal interview and the simulator assessment.

Where will the simulator assessments and the job interviews take place?

There will be a step by step evaluation of your performance during the selection process. The selection process starts with the online psychological assessment, followed by the online interview and finally the simulator assessments which will be in Madrid. The current timeframe for the selection process will be shared upon selection for the process and will take place during the winter months. Company conversions will start in the beginning of 2024.

Who will pay for my travel expenses for the assessments?

In the process of our assessment the trip to the simulator assessment requires travelling. The travel expenses including the accommodation arrangements related to the simulator assessments will be taken care of by the candidates themselves.

Where will the Company Conversion Training take place?

If you have passed the assessment you will take part in the Company Conversion Training in Antalya/Turkey. The location of the SIM checks after will be shared during the ground training. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the relevant base to start your Line Training.

What about my flight tickets and accommodation during the Company Conversion Training in Antalya?

The travel to the Company Conversion Training will be organized by yourself and you will receive a 100 € travel allowance (per one way) with your first salary. Accommodation during the Company Conversion Training will be provided by the company on Full Board basis. Extra expenses such as laundry, mini bar, pocket money etc. are not covered by the company. After the training, Corendon will arrange your flight from Antalya to your regular base.

Will I receive salary during the Company Conversion Course?

The travel to the Company Conversion Course will be organized by yourself and you will receive a 100 € travel allowance (per one way) with your first salary. Accommodation during the Company Conversion Training will be provided by the company on Full Board basis. You will receive on top your base salary. With the start of your line training, you will start getting your base salary plus flight hours.

Do I need to have a valid medical check?

Yes. You need to have a valid Class 1 medical certificate which is still valid during the company conversion training. If you don’t have a medical check you need to undergo a medical examination at an EASA-approved aviation medical center at your own expense. Once you are a member of the Corendon crew, Corendon will pay you 180 € each time you need to renew your medical check.
