flydubai First Officer opportunities are currently available for experienced pilots to join the airline’s Boeing 737 operation in Dubai.

The airline is recruiting both B737 type-rated and non-type-rated First Officers, with different experience requirements depending on the applicant’s current aircraft qualification.

flydubai operates an expanding Boeing 737 fleet from Dubai and is recruiting experienced First Officers to support its growing network.

Applicants may be considered through either the type-rated or non-type-rated entry route.

Type-rated First Officer requirements

  • Valid ICAO ATPL.
  • Valid ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.
  • B737-300 to 900 NG/EFIS/MAX endorsement within the previous 24 months.
  • Minimum 1,500 hours multi-pilot aircraft flying time.
  • Minimum 500 hours on the Boeing 737-300 to 900 family.

Non-type-rated First Officer requirements

  • Valid ICAO ATPL.
  • Valid ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.
  • Minimum 2,500 hours total flying time.
  • Minimum 1,500 hours multi-pilot aircraft flying time.
  • Minimum 1,000 hours on modern EFIS multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft above 10 tonnes operating weight.

Published salary and benefits

flydubai publishes a monthly package of AED 37,000 comprising basic salary, housing allowance and transportation allowance. The airline also publishes average variable flying pay of AED 11,410 per month based on approximately 70 flying hours.

Additional benefits include medical insurance, education assistance, end-of-service benefits, 42 days of paid annual leave, concessional travel for family and friends, an annual leave ticket and pilot income protection.

Training bond

flydubai currently publishes a three-year training bond of USD 24,000 for type-rated First Officers and USD 36,000 for non-type-rated First Officers. Applicants should review the full contractual terms during the recruitment process.
