SAS is recruiting an experienced A320 Captain for its London Heathrow operation, with full-time and part-time contracts available.

The role is with SAS Crew Services Ltd, part of the SAS Group, operating the SAS Connect Airbus A320neo fleet from London Heathrow.

SAS A320 Captain opportunity

SAS is expanding its Airbus operation and is looking for Captains to join its London Heathrow base. The position offers a fixed roster pattern together with opportunities for career development within the airline.

  • Fixed 5 days on / 4 days off working pattern

Experience requirements

  • Minimum 4,000 hours total flying time
  • Minimum 1,000 hours PIC on CS-25 aircraft above 30 tonnes MTOW
  • Valid A320 type rating preferred
  • No accidents or incidents

Licence and medical requirements

  • EASA ATPL
  • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical
  • Minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5
  • Right to live and work in the UK preferred

SAS states that licence conversion from a UK licence to an EASA licence may be available for successful candidates where required. UK visa sponsorship may also be available.

Salary and benefits

SAS offers a competitive salary package together with additional allowances for block hours, overnights and other duty-related payments.

The package also includes a loyalty scheme, loss of licence cover, private medical insurance and worldwide staff travel benefits after six months.

Recruitment process

The SAS recruitment process may include CV screening, an online interview, online cognitive and personality testing, an assessment day including a simulator session and personal interview, followed by background and licence checks.
