Singapore Airlines First & Second Officers
Singapore Airlines have commenced a recruitment programme for First & Second Officers. Low Hour pilots are eligible to apply for Second Officer positions. The base will be Singapore and the info is on the Singapore Airlines Careers page.

First Officers
Requirements
1. Holds a valid CPL/MEIR with frozen ATPL or ATPL (recognized or can be validated by CAAS).
2. Must have a minimum 1500 total multi-crew flying hours on commercial jet aircraft. Preference will be given to applicants with previous flight experience on a commercial aircraft equipped with glass cockpit technology, including FMS. (A minimum of 100 PIC hours will be required for candidates holding foreign pilot licences)
3. Must possess a valid certificate for the following:
o Class 1 Medical (recognized or can be validated by CAAS)
o ICAO English Level 5 or above
o Certificate of Test – Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
4. Myopia of not more than 600 degrees and astigmatism of not more than 200 degrees per eye (Applies to both pre- and post-operative vision, and must be correctable to 6/6 visual acuity or better).
Selection Process
All interviews will be held in Singapore. Applicants undergo various stages comprising online application, interview with senior management, simulator assessment and medical check-up.
Training
Where applicable, successful candidates will be trained to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating.
Employment

Bond

Second Officers
Requirements
1. Holds a valid CPL/IR with frozen ATPL (recognized or can be validated by CAAS)
2. Minimum of 200 total flying hours as pilot of aeroplanes. (A minimum of 100 PIC hours will be required for candidates holding foreign pilot licences).
3. Minimum GCE ‘A’ Level, Polytechnic Diploma or Degree, inclusive of GCE ‘O’ Level credits (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics and 1 Science subject.
4. Must demonstrate the ability to speak and understand English with ICAO English Level 6
5. Myopia of not more than 600 degrees and astigmatism of not more than 200 degrees per eye (Applies to both pre- and post-operative vision, and must be correctable to 6/6 visual acuity or better).
6. Must possess valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (recognized or can be validated by CAAS)

Bond
Successful candidates will be required to serve for the duration of the training and for a period of seven years from the date of appointment as First Officer.
