Direct Entry Captain Program – From First Officer to Captain:

  • Minimum 3.500 factorized hours*
  • Valid Instrument Rating (IR) and Type-Rating, both on Airbus A320
  • Minimum 3.000 hours actual flight time AND 100 landings completed
    on Airbus A320/A330/A340/A350/A380 (in combination)**

Notes:

*Factorized hours: Wizz Air applies factors to pilot flying hours to determine minimum requirements for Commanders. A pilot’s hours flown in each category are multiplied by the applicable factor from the table you can find on http://onedoor.wizzair.com. The sum of all groups after factorization will be used to determine whether the pilot meets the minimum required experience.
**Simulator hours are excluded


Non-Rated Experienced First Officer:

  • Valid Instrument Rating (IR) on any multi-engine class/type
  • Valid multi-engine class or type rating
  • Minimum 500 hours ME/IR multi crew operation experience* (Airline ME > 5.7tons and Business ME > 20tons)
  • ATPL theory completed** (certificate or license endorsement as remark)
  • JOC course completed*** (certificate or license endorsement as remark)

Notes:

*Ultra-light aircraft, power gliders, simulator and helicopter hours are excluded
**ATPL theory certificate issued by appropriate CAA or entered into the license
***JOC is not required if jet aircraft is flown before or jet type rating (e.g. B737) completed


A320 Rated Experienced First Officers:

  • Minimum 500 hours on Airbus A320*
  • Valid Instrument Rating (IR) and Type-Rating, both on Airbus A320
  • ATPL theory completed** (certificate or license endorsement as remark)
  • Preferably 300 hours on Airbus A320/A330/A340/A350/A380 in last 12 months***

Notes:

*Simulator hours are excluded
**ATPL theory certificate issued by appropriate CAA or entered in the license.
***If recency requirements are not met additional training might be applicable
