‘Drunk’ pilot pulled off BA flight and held by police

British media reported that police had arrested a British Airways pilot at Gatwick after a colleague suggested he may have been drinking last week.

A British Airways spokesman said: “We are taking this matter extremely seriously and are assisting the police with their inquiries. We are sorry for the delay to our customers. The aircraft remained at the gate until an alternative third pilot joined the flight crew. The safety and security of our customers is always our top priority.”
